I initially came to Karla several years ago as an acupuncture skeptic. I had been struggling with persistent pain in the joint located at the base of my big toe, and my podiatrist had run out of nonsurgical treatment options. A friend recommended Karla, and I figured I had nothing to lose. Karla is kind, gentle, empathetic, and an excellent listener. She truly wants to heal all her patients' areas of discomfort. The acupuncture process itself is not painful; in fact, it is very relaxing and rejuvenating. After a few sessions, I began to notice significant improvement in my toe joint. Since then, Karla has treated me for pain in various other locations, including upper and lower back, neck, and hip. Intellectually speaking, I still don't understand HOW or WHY acupuncture works -- it still feels a bit like magic to me -- but the important point is that Karla has relieved my recurring pain, and I highly recommend her services!
